Bid Book "Agora of Europe" wins Red Dot Award
Another award for our first bid book for the European Capital of Culture 2025: Red Dot Award for Bid Book "Agora of Europe"
Our first bid book from the design artist and typographer Sebastian Peetz for the European Capital of Culture 2025 received the Red Dot Design Award in the category "Brand & Communication Design"! After the iF Design Award, the bid book is now receiving the second internationally renowned Design Award. The opposition in this design competition was also fierce: 24 experts examined and evaluated 6,992 submitted entries as part of an online jury and selected only the best-designed brands and communication projects. And the hannoverian Bid Book was once again convincing: “With the book, Sebastian Peetz has succeeded in convincing the Red Dot jury with the high design quality of his work, finely detailed typesetting and an extraordinary and coherent overall conception of multidimensional design language with complex content. This means that the designer and his team can count themselves among the winners of the most prestigious design competition worldwide,” announced the jury of the Red Dot Award.
"With the Red Dot Award, Hannover's Bid Book has arrived in the Olympus of Design", says Lord Mayor and CEO Belit Onay and congratulates the design artist and typographer Sebastian Peetz on this great award. And for the team leaders Inga Samii and Melanie Botzki, “the price is both an incentive and a motivation to give everything in the second bid book. That applies to the design as well as the content." Peetz will also design the second bid book for Hannover.
The artist and typographer is also very happy about the award: “I am overjoyed with this great recognition. Developing this book creatively was a challenge in many areas, but we have implemented our claim to perfection and extraordinary. We are now being rewarded with the Red Dot Award.”
The Red Dot Award is an international design competition for designers, agencies, design studios, manufacturers, brands, organizations, universities and young designers. The winners receive the renowned Red Dot, the seal of quality for good design.
